Russia and the US: different answers
When someone calls Semax an approved drug, the next question is: approved where?
Semax facts: September 30, 2026. Drug-code rule: September 26, 2026.
What the US record says
As of September 30, 2026, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has still not approved Semax.
There is no FDA-approved Semax prescribing document describing its uses and risks in the US.
This document is often called a drug label; it is more than the writing on a bottle. Ask to see the exact product and the approval being claimed.
What the Russian record says
The FDA review describes Semax as a registered medicine in Russia, available as nose drops; that fact was checked on September 30, 2026.
This answers why the name has a history as a medicine. It does not settle the US question.
As of September 30, 2026, this guide’s sources did not confirm which uses Russia has officially approved for Semax.
We can explain the registration, but cannot give you a verified list of its approved uses there.
A directory code is not the missing approval
FDA guidance checked September 26, 2026 says that a National Drug Code (NDC) does not establish approval by the agency.
The Semax entries checked on September 30, 2026 were raw-ingredient powders, rather than approved finished medicines.
An NDC is a code that identifies a product listed in a government directory. Ask for the approval record itself, rather than a screenshot of a code.
